Your Brain Exercise of the Week ~ April 3, 2023

Working on your cognition is an important part of keeping your mind sharp and maintaining independence. One way to target your cognitive skills is to complete one or both of the tasks below.

*Remember, for this cognitive activity to qualify as a brain fitness exercise, you should participate at a level that is challenging for you.

Directions:

Use paper/pencil/writing device/tablet.

In 30 seconds name as many song titles as you can. Next, organize your list either by genre or the decade the song was released. For an extra challenge, wait 5 minutes and see how many of the songs you can name from your original list.

If the exercise above feels too challenging, try this modification:

Take the time you need to name 5-7 song titles. Next, try to organize by genre or the decade the song was released.
